Rahul Thakkar Won An Oscar Award For Technical Achievement

Rahul Thakkar has won the Oscar award in the field of Scientific and Technical Awards. He had shared his award with Richard Chuang in the field of groundbreaking design of the Dream Works Animation Media Review System. He had received his award at Academy’s annual Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation on 13 February 2016 which was held in Beverly Hills.

Nai Manzil Scheme Launched In Jammu And Kashmir

The Nai Manzil scheme was launched on 20th Jan 2016, in Jammu Kashmir. This scheme was introduced mainly in three institutions- Skill Development Center, University of Kashmir and two Madrasas only for girls. This scheme was launched first time Jammu kashmir. All the Traniees get stipend of 4500 Rs for the course.

Scientists Of California Spotted The Potential Planet 9

Two researchers named Konstantin Batygin and Michael E. Brown of the California Institute of Technology spotted the potential planet 9 and their research papers were published in The Astronomical Journal on 20th January 2016 with the title ‘Evidence for a distant Giant Planet in the Solar System’.

BSE launched Algorithm Trading Test Environment In Partnership With Symphony Fintech Solutions

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has launched Algorithm Trading Test Environment (ATTE) service in partnership with Symphony Fintech Solutions Pvt Ltd on 18th of January 2016. The BSE is world’s fastest stock exchange market with the speed of 6 microsecond and is the oldest stock exchange market of Asia. The Algorithmic Trading  is also callds Black-Box Trading.

Chhattisgarh Government Inked Pact With Central PSUs For Railway Project

The Chhatishgarh government has signed up a share holder agreement with a few central government-run corporations for the second phase of Jagdalpur-Raoghat railway project on 20 January 2016. A special purpose vehicle (SPV)- Chhattisgarh Dakshin Railway Pvt Ltd- has constituted agreement to build 142 km railway line at a cost of 2000 crore rupees.

India And Oman Conduct Bilateral Naval Exercise ‘Naseem Al Bahr’

India and Oman has conduct 10th edition of Bilateral exercise ‘Naseem Al Bahr’ in the Arabian Sea from January 22 to January 27, 2016. RNOV Al-Shamikh and RNOV Al-Seeb the two Oman Navy ships which were going to take participate in IFR 2016, get entered in the port of Goa on 22 January. These ships were on their way to take participate in the International Fleet Review which will be held at Visakhapatnam scheduled from February 4 to February 9, 2016.

PM Narendra Modi Flags Off Mahamana Express From Varanasi

PM Narendra Modi had flagged off the ”Mahamana Express”, a train which would be travel three times in a week between New Delhi and Varanasi via Lucknow. This train would take 14 hour to cover the distance between Varanasi and New Delhi.

Sri Lanka Banned kidney Fransplants For Foreigner

Sri Lankan health minister Rajitha Senaratne had banned kidney transplant  for foreign nationals on 22 January 2016. Rajitha Senaratne had said that “According to our law, organs cannot be bought or sold”.
