French President Hollande Arrived India For 3-Day Visit

French President Francois Hollande had reached Chandigarh on 24 January 2016 for 3 days visit. P.M. Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande had to attended the Indo-French CEO’s forum and a business summit. Hollande would be chief guest for 67th Republic Day Celebration celebrates in Delhi.

PM Presents National Bravery Awards To Children

Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India had presented the bravery awards to the 25 children on 24 January 2016. P.M had also revealed a book of Life progression of ICCW National Bravery Awardees. Children between the age of 6 to 18, who has done some bravery works get this award. There were 22 boys and 3 girls who had awarded. The awardees had also to perform at the Republic Day Parade. The Bharat award winner gets a gold medal, while the rest of awardees get a silver medal. Financial assistance had also given to each awardees to complete his or her schooling, as a part of ICCW’s sponsorship programme, under the Indira Gandhi scholarship scheme.”

Nepal’s Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Forms New Party

Nepal’s ex-prime minister Baburam Bhattarai, had left Prachanda-led UCPN-Maoist party and on 24 January 2016 he had made his own party named  ‘New Force Nepal’. There were 265 member members in his party. He had formed his political outfit comprising former Maoists.Mr Bhattarai, had announced a 35-member Interim Central Council of the party.

7.1-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Alaska

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, A 7.1-magnitude earthquake had struck Alaska on 24 January 2016. The center of earthquake was near Cook Inlet 162 miles southwest of Anchorage and earthquake was about 50 miles deep.
