Indian Air Force provide job opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from the designated Districts of State of Jammu and Kashmir to become Airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades and Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades, GTI, IAF(P), IAF(S) & Musician} Trades) will be held at from 15 December 2017 to 12 January 2018 as per the Selection Programme given below.

Age Limit:

  • Candidates should be born between 01 February 1996 to 31 May 1999 (both days inclusive).
  • Upper age limit on date of enrollment is 21 years.

Pay Scale:

  • During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid.

On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP), Group ‘X’ Pay {applicable for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades only} and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:-

(a) Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Rs. 26,685/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
(b) Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P), IAF(S) and Musician} Trades. Rs. 23,535/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Educational Qualification:

For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades:

  • Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

                                                                       OR

  •  Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.

For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades:

  • Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

                                                                      OR

  • Passed Two year Vocational Course affiliated/recognized by CBSE / State Education Boards / Councils duly recognized at par with 10+2 by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate/ Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.
