Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. JEE is conducted in two parts, JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. JEE-Advanced is for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, an institute that will be converted to IIT. While the JEE-Main exam is for admission to Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), centrally funded technical institutes (CFTIs) as well as for admission to the dual degree programme of IIEST Shibpur.

Schedule of JEE (Advanced)- 2016 : The JEE (Advanced)-2016 will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 as per the schedule given below.

Paper 1 : 09:00 to 12:00 hrs (IST),
Paper 2 : 14:00 to 17:00 hrs (IST)

Candidates can start to download their Admit Cards from Friday, 11 May 2016, 10:00 (IST) onwards from this website.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main admit Card will be available to download from official webiste. The Admit Card can be downloaded from JEE (Main) website from 2nd week March 2016 onwards. PRIOR TO DOWNLOADING THE ADMIT CARD, THE CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR ROLL NO. AND BOARD DETAILS OF CLASS 12TH/ EQUIVALENT QUALIFYING EXAMINATION ON THE JEE (MAIN) WEBSITE. PREVIOUS YEARS PASS OUTS CANDIDATE SHOULD VERIFY THEIR ROLL NO. AND BOARD DETAILS OF CLASS 12TH/EQUIVALENT QUALIFYING EXAMINATION. The candidates are advised to download their admit cards from JEE (Main) website only. The Candidates are also advised to regularly see JEE (Main) website for updates. A call center will also be functional on all working days from 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM for general facilitation. The phone numbers of the call centre are available on the website of JEE (Main).

  • The Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning) of JEE (Main) will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based examination mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech) only.

In Examination hall Use of electronic devices like mobile phone, calculator etc. is NOT PERMITTED in JEE (Main) – 2016, Materials like log table, book, notebook, etc. should NOT be brought to the Examination hall.
