RBI Assistant Syllabus And Exam Pattern

Graduate candidates will have opportunity  to get a job conducted  by the RBI. Reserve Bank Of India issued various posts of Assistant all over India. RBI will conducted  an online written exam for the post of Assistant as the year passes level of competition for banking/ Insurance exam gets  tougher. Moreover Pattern is also change.

Number Of Posts: 504 posts

Exam Pattern: Objective type Questions of 200 marks

The Paper consists tests of five categories  are following

  1. General Awareness
  2. English Language
  3. Quantitative Aptitude and
  4. Reasoning
  5. Computer Knowledge
  • Each Part will be of 40 Marks.
  • Time Duration of Exam is 2 Hours.
  • The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

It is necessary for  all  candidates to qualify  in each part of objective test There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests and  1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. it also required that candidate will  pass in each objective tests.

Exam Syllabus:

English: Special emphasis on Grammar and Vocabulary. Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction,fill in the blanks, Sentence Arrangements/ Word Arrangement, Comprehension & Cloze Test nothing can be out of these mentioned Topics etc. Comprehension will be lengthy.

General Knowledge: Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, General science, general Knowledge, Banking Sectors and others. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector. Questions from Marketing will also be in ample amounts to Test Your Knowledge. Some Important Topics are

Quantitative Aptitude:-   Questions will be asked from Simplification, Number Series, Quadratic Equations Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Data Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.

Reasoning:-  Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions,  arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements, Decision Making, Input & Output, Logical Reasoning. Questions form Non Verbal Reasoning may ask in the Exam.

Computer Literacy:-  This part is to check candidate familiarity with computer. Question will be ask from computer basic, input, output, memory, Software, BIOS, Internet, MS word, MS excel, Computer Shortcuts, Computer Architecture, Computer Abbreviations etc.

Cut Off:- Cut Off Marks for RBI Assistant Exam will vary in each section, according to the difficult level of Section. Candidates have to get minimum cut off marks for to be eligible for Personal Interview conduct by RBI. Cut off for RBI Assistant Online exam may remain high than cut off for other years. There will be chances of Tough fight for RBI Assistant Exam. Candidates who get 150 above marks, even can’t think themselves in Comfort zone. Cut off for Interview will vary according to zone & Category. Expected Cut Off Marks will be as follows :

  • General : 150+ Marks
  • OBC : 140 + Marks
  • SC/ ST : 125-130 Marks

Final selection will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the  written examination and

interview taken together in order of merit.
