XAT 2016 Syllabus: XAT or the Xavier Aptitude Test conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016. However, owing to the difficulty level, the candidates have to start preparation at least 6 months in advance. Before starting with the preparation, it is important to know the XAT 2016 Syllabus. There are 60 other institutes that accept XAT scores for selection of candidates to their management programmes, including Xavier Institute of Management and Goa Institute of Management programmes. XAT comes with higher level of difficulty.
XAT Exam Pattern/Structure
The format of XAT would remain pen-paper based. This is to ensure that candidates of all backgrounds are at par, so that those who have pre-familiarity of operating computers, specially coming from privileged background or having worked in IT sector, do not get any advantage over others who do not have access to computers. The paper-pen mode also ensures that all candidates are tested on exactly the same set of questions, and not on different sets.
XAT 2016 will be conducted on 3rd January 2016
The test would be split into two:
- Aptitude Test
- Essay and GK.
The Aptitude section would consist of :
- Verbal and Logical Ability
- Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
- Decision Making.

Important XAT 2016 dates are:
Date of Commencement of Application: 4 September 2015
Last Date for Applying: 10 December 2015
Last Date to change Test City: Last week of November 2015
Downloading of Admit Cards: 3rd week of December 2015 to 31st December 2015
Date of Exam: 3rd January 2016 (Tentative)
The admit card will be available from December 20, 2015 onwards. The XAT 2016 scores will be accepted by 141 B-schools.
